A loose lightweight suit designed specifically for sleeping or lounging, formerly popular in the Middle East. Pyjamas (or pajamas in American English), also known as PJs, jimmies, jimjams, or jammies, can refer to a variety of clothing items. Pajamas are loose-fitting, two-piece garments derived from the original garment that are worn primarily for sleeping but also for lounging by both sexes. The word "pajama" is derived from the Hindi word "paegama," which means the type of pajamas worn by persons in India, and it goes back to the time of the Ottoman Empire. Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis used pajamas with a drawstring or cord for drawers.
Here's a few lists to add to your collection:
Sleep shirts are intended to be large and oversized, fitting loosely around your boy. This results in a light, airy fit and feel. Sleep shirts are available in both button-up and T-shirt styles.
Nightgowns - Nightgowns are a timeless bedtime staple. They are available in a variety of styles, but spaghetti straps and cap sleeves are the most popular. Nightgowns can be made of a variety of fabrics, ranging from cotton to silk.
Jumpsuits, a popular choice for everyday wear, have made the transition to sleepwear. Jumpsuits are fitted but lightweight garments that are typically made in shortie styles with spaghetti straps.
Nighties are short, low-cut nightgowns made with a lot less fabric. Nighties are frequently made of very light material, such as silk or chiffon, and may come with a matching bra, underwear, or both.
Button Down - Women's button-down pajamas are similar to men's styles. Traditionally, they are made of a thicker fabric, such as flannel, with long sleeves and pants.
Coordinated Pajama Sets - Coordinated pajama sets are a popular pajama style for women right now. This includes a long-sleeved or short-sleeved nightshirt and a pair of bottoms, either shorts or long pants.
Piece Pajamas - When you think of men's sleepwear, you probably think of two-piece pajamas. The classic two-piece pajama set consists of loose-fitting pants and a matching material button-up, collared shirt.

It doesn't have a practical application other than to keep people warm during the winter: that's obvious. However, the visual scheme of the logo has a well-defined purpose. It's long enough to wear like a scarf, but not long enough to strangle you in your sleep. When do you wear pajamas?
